In April 2021 I received the worst possible news a parent can get; a phone call from my then wife & a police officer to tell me my eldest son had been stabbed in an unprovoked knife attack.
In the aftermath of Josh's murder I was in the deepest shock I've ever known but could still see that my entire life was now unrecognisable. I experienced the all-too-common lack of support following tragedy, however a family member introduced me to StrongMen.
As well as being offered peer to peer support via the Man2Man service, I also found a community of people where I was able to empathise and share in a safe & judgement free environment.
There have been some incredibly hard days, and no doubt more to follow but I'm not sure I'd be where I am today without the support of the StrongMen community.
