The photo above was taken on 20th September 2025, the day this group of men stood together on the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167m) the highest point in North Africa. We climbed for those we’ve lost, as a team.
It was a brutal climb but we made it! If you’d like to support the cause, donations can be made to our Crowdfunder page.
On 17th September 2025, our team of 28 bereaved men travelled to Morocco, specifically the Atlas Mountains to climb North Africa’s highest mountain, Toubkal.
Each and ever one taking part have their own special reason for doing so, in the process helping to highlight men’s grief and awareness for the charity, whilst raising money to fund our bereavement counselling service, Man2Man Extra Time.

The training so far:

        Brecon National Park
As with last years preparation for Kilimanjaro, Brecon is the perfect place to prepare for Toubkal. Used extensively by the military, we were able to test ourselves and our kit in the wild, we could also take notes to avoid the heavy snorers when it comes to accommodation time in Africa.
Friday was the meet and greet at our accommodation, with food and a few drinks at a local pub, followed by a full day of hiking, taking in sections of the infamous ‘Fan Dance’ during the day. As so often is the case in Brecon, we encountered every weather system imaginable with sun, rain, wind, hail, even some thunder and lightning for good measure! Everyone took it in their strides.
Below is a short film we produced, highlighting the journey through men’s grief filmed on location in the Brecon Beacons National Park featuring StrongMen staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries
The film was shot and produced by ZAK and High Stakes Films.
Below is a short documentary we produced from the 2024 Kilimanjaro Climb
